homecoming week

Homecoming week 2022 has been nothing short of amazing.  While homecoming week has always had a sort of special energy surrounding it, this year seems exponentially enhanced with more and more students partaking in the activities planned by our student council.  The school PRIDE that is radiating from our students and lingering in the hallways is absolutely incredible!

The festivities began on Monday (9/26/22).  Dress up theme was Pajama Day.  At 7 pm Coronation was held in the Gym; where Joey Molnau was crowned Homecoming king and Morgan Johnson was crowned Homecoming queen.

Tuesday (9/27/22) was Adam Sandler day.  Cross Country ran at Cedar Lake Farm, with many of our runners setting new PRs.  The Girls Soccer took on Rockford and Volleyball overcame HLWW in 4.

Wednesday (9/28/22) was Decade day.  The annual Powderpuff Volleyball game (juniors vs seniors) was held during WIN time.  It was a nail-biter but the Senior pulled out a win over the Juniors 26-24.

Thursday (9/29/22) was Soccer mom vs BBQ dad.   The annual Powderpuff football game (Juniors vs Seniors) was held during WIN time, with the Seniors dominating for the WIN.  Volleyball hosted Lester Prairie for the DIG PINK fundraiser volleyball game at 7 PM.  In addition to taking the W, Central Volleyball raised over $4,000.00 for Breast cancer research.

Friday (9/30/22) was RAIDER PRIDE DAY!  The class of 2023 created a new event this year:  The “Senior Sunrise: breakfast and bags tournament was held on the track by the football field from 630am – 740am this morning with more than 40 students from the senior class in attendance. The seniors had a blast creating lifelong memories, and hopefully a new tradition at Central.  The Homecoming Parade started at 1:30 pm, with the Community Pep fest following.  The main event will start at 7:00 pm tonight with the Varsity Football vs Maple river.  The Band will be playing before the game and again at halftime for the Halftime Show and introduction of Royalty.

Saturday (10/1/22) we will hold Homecoming Dance for students in grades 9-12.  Festivities will begin at 7 pm and end at 10 pm. Tickets are $7.00 at the door.  Students are encouraged to bring a food shelf item to donate with them to get a discounted ticket price.

Both students and Staff alike enjoyed every minute of this homecoming week, and are looking forward to the fun yet to be had in the 2022-2023 school year.

GO RAIDERS!!
