Central Public Schools will have three school board seats up for election during the general election taking place on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
Each seat is a four year term beginning in January 2027.
Anyone interested in becoming a candidate for this election must file for the election during the filing period which begins on Tuesday, July 14 and ends on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
All candidates must file at the Central Public Schools District Office located at 531 Morse Street, NYA, MN 55368.
Requirements for candidates:
Must file the required paperwork within file period (including the $2 file fee)
Be an eligible voter
Be 21 years of age or more on assuming office
Must have been a resident of the school district for 30 days before the general election
Must have no other affidavit on file for any other office at the same general election
The district will share more information about candidates and the election process leading up to election day.
